Sailor Moon Vintage

So I wanted to do an illustration series that involved pop-culture and historical fashion, and this is what I came up with: Sailor Scouts depicted in different time periods. Sailor Moon was a big inspiration to me when I first really started getting into drawing. I also really love researching old fashions, so it seemed like a good fit.

It was really fun! It was also pretty challenging trying to decide what time period best fit each scout, as well as designing  costumes that would be recognizable in the time period while still being recognizable as sailor scouts. Anyways, it was a good time.
