Star Wars

In Advanced Storyboarding, we had to design a Sith Lord and a Jedi Knight based on two actors (Daniel Craig and Alessandra Ambrosio). We could decide who was good and who was evil. It was fun coming up with characters that fit into the Star Wars universe but are unique. Here are my designs!

Twitter!

So I'm getting all tech savvy, maybe? I just got a Twitter account, if you're interested in hearing random things I say. No guarantees I will say anything interesting, though.

Office Design

I am officially in my last quarter at SCAD. Time sure goes by fast, huh? I'm taking Advanced Storyboarding and Senior Project. It's been super so far. Can't wait to do lots of storyboarding!

One of my recent assignments was to create an office space based on an emotion. My emotion was anger. Here's what I came up with:

Inked Cover

So here is my inked version of one of my covers from the last post! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Guys, inking is FUN! I sure wish we did more of it as part of our curriculum... I did the people entirely with brush, then used a quill and ruler for the lines in the background.

Jael, Takes 2 and 3

So here is the second and third take for my Jael story in Vis 2. I also added the two covers I designed for the story. I will be inking one and a classmate (don't know who yet!) will be inking the other. I'm both excited and nervous, because I'll have to ink someone else's cover design! Aaah!

Jael Script, Take 1

In Visual Storytelling 2, we are required to come up with a 4-page script. Then over the course of the next ten weeks, we redraw it 3 or 4 times, 3 or 4 completely different ways. So here's my story, taken from Judges 4, take 1.

Now on to another try!

An Ordinary Princess

So right now I'm in the fantastic class entitled "The Pitch." In it, we must create a pitch packet for a TV show or comic book concept, which we will then pitch to a DC executive at the end of the quarter.

My concept is about a princess named Basil who was blessed by a fairy at birth to be ordinary. She must grow up with her six, older, more extraordinary sisters and her mom, who wants nothing more than to marry off Basil to a nice prince. I won't tell you the whole story, but there's a cranky fairy, a couple of dragons, and an ordinary boy involved.

Here are some of my characters so far.
