Fall Finals

Well, this wonderful quarter has met its bitter end. All my projects have been completed and submitted. It really has been a great quarter. I've learned an incredible amount, and I feel that I've improved a lot. I'm excited to see what next quarter will bring!

Here are some of the lovely art things I've done for my classes.

Visual Storytelling 1
      We were given a loose script to work off of. It involved us waking up in the middle of the night, choosing a weapon, and finding something outside our door.

Speed Sketching:
     Two pages based on a script we were given in class.

Digital Coloring:
     For midterm and final we were required to color 4 pages (so 8 total). I chose to color a few of my own pieces.

Naturally Apocolyptic: Chapter 1

Well, summer is coming to a close and I have finished the first chapter in my story! I learned a lot working on these pages and there are definitely some things I would do differently if I were to do it again. Ah, well, that won't happen though. Moving on to new and better art!

I will repost this once I get quality scans of the pages. For now, I hope they are readable. Enjoy!

Summer Mash

Another notebook has been filled up and placed on the infamous drawing book shelf. Here are a few of my favorite drawings (and doodles) from within its covers!

Kat needed some jammies since she spends so much time in them. Here's a mash-up of a bunch of different ideas. Obviously, shorts seem to be her style. Even though she lives in England where it isn't very warm.

 This is about as close as it gets to a "value drawing" in any of my sketchbooks.

What have I been up to?

As I'm sure many of you students know, summer is upon us. (At least, that's what the calendar says. Washington state is the only tiny area in the whole continental U.S. not seeing the sunshine right now.) Since I got home on break, I've been working a bit on a personal project. My goal is to brush up on my comic skills before I head into the last quarter of my junior year. So, here are the first ten pages in a looong story. Someday I hope to color these pages. We'll see what the future holds. Sorry for the poor image quality and illegible handwriting; I don't have a scanner big enough for the pages.
