In Visual Storytelling 2, we are required to come up with a 4-page script. Then over the course of the next ten weeks, we redraw it 3 or 4 times, 3 or 4 completely different ways. So here's my story, taken from Judges 4, take 1.
Now on to another try!

An Ordinary Princess
So right now I'm in the fantastic class entitled "The Pitch." In it, we must create a pitch packet for a TV show or comic book concept, which we will then pitch to a DC executive at the end of the quarter.
My concept is about a princess named Basil who was blessed by a fairy at birth to be ordinary. She must grow up with her six, older, more extraordinary sisters and her mom, who wants nothing more than to marry off Basil to a nice prince. I won't tell you the whole story, but there's a cranky fairy, a couple of dragons, and an ordinary boy involved.
Here are some of my characters so far.

Winter Break, Redrawing, and a New Notebook
Wow. This is quite possibly the last winter break I'll ever have. Weird.
Anyways, since getting home from school, I've tried to stay productive and get work done. I've done a bit of sketching, and I've got some larger projects I'd like to get done. For now, here are some lovely art things!

A picture from my notebook I kind of liked. Just chillin'.
I've been going back and redrawing some pictures from way back. Here's one of a pirate chick, I guess.
I was really good at drawing emotion, ja?
I couldn't find my sketch of this one, but I colored the original and stuck it on Deviantart ages ago. I REALLY liked it back then. Now? Eh. The costume is kind of fun.
And I finished my last notebook! That means I've got something like 43 filled drawing books. Here's my new one that I'm starting now! I just painted over a plain black sketchbook. Sorry about the bad scan.
Yup. So this break has been going pretty well so far! Hopefully I'll get even more art stuff done before it's time to head back to the East Coast.

Fall Finals
Well, this wonderful quarter has met its bitter end. All my projects have been completed and submitted. It really has been a great quarter. I've learned an incredible amount, and I feel that I've improved a lot. I'm excited to see what next quarter will bring!
Here are some of the lovely art things I've done for my classes.
Visual Storytelling 1
We were given a loose script to work off of. It involved us waking up in the middle of the night, choosing a weapon, and finding something outside our door.
Speed Sketching:
Two pages based on a script we were given in class.
Digital Coloring:
For midterm and final we were required to color 4 pages (so 8 total). I chose to color a few of my own pieces.

Babysitting Mishaps
A lot of crazy things have happened to me when I babysit. So, when assigned a 2-page memoir project for class, it seemed only natural to choose from one of my many incidents. So here is a little gem of an incident that occurred a few years ago, via comic format. I think it's pretty readable without the word balloons. What do you think?

Some Comic Stuff
Here are a couple of the projects I've been working on in my Visual Storytelling class. Both are based on scripts given to us in class.
This is a Batman page from Gotham by Gaslight, inked.
Pencils for Bartman, page 3 of script.
Pencils for Bartman, page 4 of script.
Pencils for Bartman, page 5 of script. The dramatic conclusion! (sort of)

Chickasaw ADVENTURES!
Here is my first assignment for Visual Storytelling 1. We were given a script that we had to thumbnail out, then we were all assigned 3 pages from the script. From there, we made tight roughs, then finished pencils.
Thumbnails pages 9-12
Tight Rough page 10
Tight Rough page 11
Tight Rough page 12
Finished pencils page 10
Finished pencils page 11
Finished pencils page 12
These pages underwent a bit of change from beginning to end. I'm fairly happy with the end result. Now on to assignment 2!
